Εκατόν εννέα οργανώσεις, πολιτικά κόμματα, συντεχνίες και Μη Κυβερνητικές Οργανώσεις συνδιοργάνωσαν το Σάββατο 26 Μαρτίου δικοινοτική εκδήλωση «Για τη λύση και την ειρήνη – ανοίξτε όλους τους δρόμους!».

Απαιτούμε το άμεσο άνοιγμα νέων οδοφραγμάτων σε όλη την Κύπρο!
Ως άνθρωποι που ζούμε στην Κύπρο, υποφέρουμε και ανησυχούμε βαθιά για το μέλλον μας λόγω των οικονομικών, κοινωνικών και πολιτικών προβλημάτων που προκαλεί η διαίρεση του νησιού μας. Ειδικά οι Τουρκοκύπριοι, που ζουν στο βόρειο τμήμα του νησιού, συνεχίζουν τον αγώνα τους για την ύπαρξη τους και για την ειρήνη παρά το γεγονός ότι είναι απομονωμένοι από τον κόσμο και η πολιτική τους βούληση παραβιάζεται.
Ο κύριος στόχος μας εξακολουθεί να είναι η επίτευξη μιας Ενωμένης Ομοσπονδιακής Κύπρου. Πρέπει να ασκήσουμε τη μέγιστη δυνατή πίεση για την επανέναρξη ουσιαστικών διαπραγματεύσεων που θα οδηγήσουν σε μια λύση βασισμένη σε μια Δικοινοτική, Διζωνική Ομοσπονδία με πολιτική ισότητα.
Για την επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου, είναι πολύ σημαντικό τα μέτρα οικοδόμησης εμπιστοσύνης (ΜΟΕ) που προτείνονται να είναι ειλικρινή και βιώσιμα. Η πρόταση και η εφαρμογή αυτών των ΜΟΕ θα ενισχύσει το χέρι όλων των προοδευτικών οργανώσεων που αγωνίζονται για δουλειά και ειρήνη, έναντι σε όσους απεργάζονται ένα μη-ρεαλιστικό και αποσχιστικό όνειρο για “λύση δύο κρατών”.
Είμαστε αποφασισμένοι να αναπτύξουμε τον αγώνα για το άνοιγμα νέων οδοφραγμάτων, τα οποία θα επιτρέψουν στο λαό μας να έχει κάποια ανακούφιση από τις οικονομικές συνθήκες που επιδεινώνονται μέρα με τη μέρα λόγω των επιπτώσεων της πανδημίας και των μέτρων λιτότητας που εφαρμόζονται και στις δύο κοινότητες.
Οι δύο δήμαρχοι της Λευκωσίας ήρθαν σε συνεννόηση για το άνοιγμα νέων σημείων διέλευσης, στις Πύλες Αμμοχώστου και Πάφου, από το 2015. Πλέον η υπομονή μας εξαντλείται. Το θέμα πρέπει να προχωρήσει άμεσα μέσω πολιτικών διαπραγματεύσεων.
Αντίστοιχα, τα σημεία διέλευσης στην περιοχή Αθηένου – Λουρουτζίνας, των Κοκκίνων και αλλού πρέπει να προχωρήσουν άμεσα. Το άνοιγμα νέων οδοφραγμάτων σημαίνει επίσης αύξηση της επαφής μεταξύ των δύο κοινοτήτων παρέχοντας νέους τρόπους για να αγωνιστούν μαζί πιο αποτελεσματικά για μια κοινή πατρίδα. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, θα αγωνιστούμε για την κατάλληλη στελέχωση των υφιστάμενων σημείων διέλευσης, η οποία είναι απαραίτητη για ναδιασφαλιστεί ότι αυτά θα γίνουν πιο λειτουργικά και να ανοίξουν νέα οδοφράγματα.
Γι’ αυτό, σήμερα, χαιρετίζουμε όλους τους φίλους που έκαναν πιο δυνατή τη φωνή μας και από τις δύο πλευρές της τελευταίας διαιρεμένης πρωτεύουσας του κόσμου και καλούμε όλους να σηκώσουν ψηλά το λάβαρο και να εργαστούν για το άνοιγμα των νέων οδοφραγμάτων και για την επανένωση της χώρας και την επαναπροσέγγιση των κοινοτήτων μας.
Ο δρόμος για την επανένωση της Λευκωσίας και άλλων περιοχών του νησιού μας και το κοινό μέλλον των δύο κοινοτήτων περνά μέσα από αυτούς τους δρόμους.
Ζήτω ο αγώνας για την κοινή μας πατρίδα!

As people living in Cyprus, we suffer and are deeply concerned about our future due to the economic, social and political problems caused by the division of our island. Turkish Cypriots especially, living in the northern part of the island, continue their struggle for existence and peace despite being isolated from the world and their political will being violated.
Our main goal continues to be the achievement of a United Federal Cyprus. We need to put maximum pressure for the reconvening of meaningful negotiations that will lead to a solution based on a Bi-communal, Bi-zonal Federation with political equality. In order to achieve this goal, it is very significant that confidence building measures (CBM) being proposed are sincere and viable.
The proposal and implementation of these CBM will strengthen the hand of the progressive organizations of the Turkish Cypriots, who are in favor of labor and peace, against the current Turkish Cypriot leadership, which has an unrealistic and separatist dream of a “two-state solution”.
We are determined to push forward the struggle for the opening of new crossing points, which will allow our people to have some relief from the economic conditions that are worsening day by day by the effects of the pandemic and the austerity measures implemented in both communities.
The two mayors of Nicosia came to terms with opening new crossing points since 2015. We are now running out of patience. The issue needs to progress immediately via political negotiations. Similarly, the crossing points at Athienou – Lourucina area, Kokkina and elsewhere need to progress urgently.
Opening of new checkpoints also means increasing the contact between the two communities providing new ways for them to struggle together more effectively for a common homeland.
In this context, we will struggle for properly staffing the existing check points which is necessary for ensuring that these become more functional, and in this way make the passing through the new gates to be opened in the future possible.
Therefore, today, we greet all friends who have made our voices louder from both sides of the last divided capital of the world, and call for everyone to raise the banner high and work for the opening of new crossing points and for the reunification of our country and people.
The way for the reunification of Nicosia and other parts of our island and the common future of the two communities passes through these streets.
Long live the struggle for our common homeland!
Long live the United, Federal Cyprus!

Kıbrıs’ta yaşayan insanlar olarak adamızın bölünmesinden kaynaklanan ekonomik, sosyal ve siyasal sorunlardan dolayı ıstırap çekmekte ve gelecek kaygısı yaşamaktayız. Özellikle adanın kuzeyinde yaşayan Kıbrıslı Türkler, dünyadan tecrit edilmelerine ve siyasal iradelerine müdahale edilmesine rağmen, var olma ve barış mücadelesini sürdürmektedirler.
Birleşik Federal bir Kıbrıs’a ulaşmak bizim esas hedefimizdir. Siyasi eşitlik temelinde, iki toplumlu ve iki bölgeli bir Federasyon çözümüne odaklanacak anlamlı müzakerelerin yeniden başlaması için, azami baskı ortaya koymamız gerekmektedir. Bu hedefe ulaşmak için, önerilecek olan güven yaratıcı önlemlerin samimi ve uygulanabilir olması çok önemlidir.
Güven artırıcı önlemlerin ortaya konması ve uygulanması, emekten ve barıştan yana olan tüm ilerici örgütlerin, “iki devletli çözüm” hayaline kapılmış olanlar karşısında elini güçlendirecektir.
Pandeminin etkisi ve her iki toplumda da uygulanan kemer sıkma politikaları nedeniyle günden güne daha da kötüye giden ekonomik koşullar altında ezilen insanlarımızın, biraz olsun nefes alabilmesi adına, yeni geçiş kapılarının açılması için mücadeleyi yükseltmeye kararlıyız.
Lefkoşa’nın iki belediye başkanı, Mağusa Kapısı ve Baf Kapısı’nda yeni geçiş noktalarının açılması için 2015 yılından beri uzlaşmış olup, bu konunun siyasi pazarlıklarla uzatılmasına daha fazla tahammülümüz kalmamıştır. Siyasi müzakereler yoluyla bu konuda bir an önce gelişme kaydedilmesi elzemdir. Benzer şekilde, Kiracıköy-Akıncılar bölgesindeki, Erenköy’deki ve diğer yerlerdeki geçiş noktalarının açılması için de çalışmaların acilen tamamlanması gerekmektedir.
Yeni geçiş noktalarının açılması aynı zamanda, iki toplumun temasının artması ve ortak vatan için mücadelenin daha etkili bir biçimde sürdürülmesi anlamına gelmektedir.
Bu bağlamda, hâlihazırda açık olan kapılardaki geçişlerin daha sağlıklı hale gelmesi ve yeni kapıların açılabilmesi adına ihtiyaç duyulan personel eksikliğinin giderilmesi için de mücadele edeceğiz.
Bu nedenle, bugün, dünyanın bölünmüş son başkentinin her iki yarısından sesimize ses katan tüm dostları selamlıyor ve yeni geçiş noktalarının açılması, yurdumuzun birleşmesi, toplumlarımızın yakınlaşması adına herkesi yukarıda belirttiğimiz iki konuda mücadeleyi yükseltmeye çağırıyoruz.
Lefkoşa’nın ve adamızdaki diğer bölgelerin yeniden birleşmesinin, iki toplumun ortak geleceğinin yolu bu sokaklardan geçiyor.
